FAQ

I have paid my deposit, now what?

*You must have an approved building permit before we can submit your septic permit to Pinal County.*
Now that you have paid your deposit, we will start ordering your materials and put you on the permitting list. We process permits in the order we receive deposits. We aim to have all supplies in hand by the time the county approves your septic permit and gives us the construction authorization.

Once we have the construction authorization and your tank is delivered, we will begin to install it. After our installation is complete, we have to submit more paperwork to request an inspection from the county. They create their schedules and we are NOT notified when they schedule the inspection or when they go out. They send us the discharge authorization paperwork which tells us we can backfill and the project is complete.

Who calls for the inlet line inspection?

Desert Septic only calls for a septic system inspection. It is the responsibility of the homeowner, plumber, or contractor to call in the inspection for the inlet line as it is a building permit line item. As a courtesy, we connect the inlet line to ensure the angle is correct. If your inlet line inspection is done before we pass the septic system inspection, we will backfill that area. If not, that is the responsibility of the homeowner or contractor.

What is covered under the 2-year warranty?

Our warranty encompasses both the workmanship involved in installing your septic system and the quality of materials used. However, it is essential to note that certain conditions are not covered under this warranty. Instances such as damage caused by over-usage, flushing of unapproved materials, or improper maintenance will not be covered. This includes neglecting to clean your filter at recommended intervals, typically every 6-9 months.

How do I get an update on my project?

As stated in the estimate, we are approximately 60-90 days away from completing your project, starting from the receipt of your deposit.
It is essential to remember that construction is a complex process, and some factors dictate our timelines, such as supplier availability, the county permitting process, and subcontractor scheduling.

While we may not currently be physically present in your yard, please rest assured that we are actively working on your project. Our team is diligently navigating through the necessary permitting process and coordinating the ordering of materials ensuring the smooth progress of your project.

During this process, we understand that you may be eager to receive updates on your project's status. While we are more than happy to keep you informed about the progress, we kindly request your cooperation in minimizing calls to our office. As a small business with a high-volume office, handling multiple calls within the same week regarding the same projects that are within the projected completion timeline can bog down the workflow.

To request an update on your project, we encourage you to email us with your name and project address at desertsepticllc@gmail.com. We will respond to your email within 48 hours.
